Align Decking is a small, owner-led deck building company based in Durham Region, Ontario. Since 2019, we’ve focused exclusively on designing and building custom decks using high-quality materials, careful craftsmanship, and proper building practices.

Instead of operating like a high-volume contractor, we intentionally take on a limited number of deck projects each season. This allows us to focus on quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and careful attention to structural details that many builders overlook.
From framing and foundations to finish details and lighting, every part of the project receives the time and care it deserves.
For homeowners, this means working directly with the person responsible for the project — not being handed off between salespeople, project managers, and subcontractors.

I got into deck construction because I genuinely enjoy building things and take pride in well-crafted outdoor spaces. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate how deck construction sits at the intersection of structural carpentry, design, and outdoor living — which makes every project a little different and rewarding to build.
You’ll find me personally on site building the deck while also managing the finer details that ensure everything is done properly. Staying closely involved in the work allows me to maintain the level of quality and attention to detail that homeowners expect when they choose Align Decking.
We intentionally take on a limited number of projects each season so every build receives the time and attention it deserves.

I hold the NADRA Master Deck Professional (MDP) certification, one of the most recognized credentials for deck builders in North America. The North American Deck and Railing Association promotes safety, education, and best practices in deck construction.
I also work closely with leading decking manufacturers and participate in professional builder programs that provide ongoing training and product education.
