We use either poured concrete piers with rebar reinforcement or structural screw piles for foundations. We use pressure-treated nominal lumber for the deck substructure and other structural framing. For the decking itself, we use either pressure-treated deck boards, composite deck boards, PVC deck boards, or hardwood deck boards.
